Keith Kesler
Web Design

Background

How often do you consciously think about the design of a website? Unless you are a designer, the answer is probably not very often. In general, the only time you think about the design of a site is when it is so poorly created that you cannot find the necessary information.

At Keith Kesler Web Design (KK-WD) we focus on the functionality of the site and how the design aspects aid the user's experience. As a result, we do not employ unnecessary “Flash” (program or design style). When creating a design, we try to put ourselves in the place of a user navigating the site for the first time. From this vantage point, we attempt to think about what a person expects to find on this site and how we can make this accessible.

Most Asked Question

Can't I just do this web design thing myself?

Of course you can design a website yourself. I'm sure you could also theoretically change your oil or brakes on your car if you wanted. The real question is it worth your time to design a website yourself? Here are a few reason why you might want a web designer:

1. You really don't want to bother. If you think about your time as money it might be wiser just to hire someone to do the job for you.

2. You aren't sure how to organize the content. Creating a website is more than picking a few images and copying some paragraphs into a template. Many people start out with this idea and their website grows into tangled mess.

3. You started working on a website using a template but you don't know how to change that one thing that really annoys you. Templates are a great starting point but in some instances it takes a bit more knowledge of web design to customize the design.
